Case Study: Save Coos Jobs
Measure 6-162 was an ill-conceived, poorly written proposal to create more unnecessary government regulation, ban the transit of fuels on highways and rails, burden taxpayers with new costs, and block future business development and job creation in our community. If passed by voters, it would send a signal to the rest of Oregon and the world that Coos County is essentially “closed for business.”
This harmful measure was being pushed by activists with backing from out-of-state groups that are seeking to kill jobs and industry.
Direct Action Partners mobilized an aggressive door-to-door campaign to educate and appeal to thousands of voters in Coos County urging them to vote no. The campaign was a resounding success due to DAP's field efforts.
